3 Students Arrested w/Firearms

Both Hazelwood & Belleville police departments report that students at both Belleville East & Hazelwood West (both high schools) were taken into custody for gun possession, one while on campus. "Belleville Police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to public safety related to this incident", the department released in a statement. Though, both involved in that incident remained in custody after their arrest. The weapon was seen in a social media post of one of the teens, taken before school which led to the report.

The Hazelwood arrest involved an on-campus incident within which a gun was seen on a student's person while he/she was on campus.
